The Admiral Rodney at Berrow Green

Berrow Green, Martley WR6 6PL, UK – 01905 886181

Nice food, good service. Short menu done well. Very welcoming and nice quality feel to the interior. All in all nice spot.

Really nice pub and a good beer selection. I had pie of the day, which was very good and reasonably priced. Newly refurbished in March, very pleasant inside and outside on the lawn.

The Bothy

The Coach House Noak Farm, Martley WR6 6PD, UK – 07795 633233

Amazing snug and comfy little hidey hole! Elaine(the host) is really helpful and leaves lots of lovely touches for your stay. Set in a walked garden with beautiful worcestershire countryside around you. I can't recommend this perfect retreat enough.

The Talbot at Knightwick

Bromyard Rd, Knightwick, Worcester WR6 5PH, UK – 01886 821235

Great home-made food though this does carry a slightly higher price (but worth it). There's room on the riverbank to sit at one of the tables and have a drink and food, though I do wish my drink was a little colder than what I was served. Would definitely visit again on a sunny day! Highly recommended!

Visited on Saturday just for quick refreshing orange juice and lemonade. Walked in the bar to see a barmaid propped up on the bar watching the horse racing. After a minute of standing there being ignored (nobody else was in the bar), I coughed and she turned around saw me and said, "someone will be with you in a minute or so", and then carried on watching the horse racing After a further 4 or 5 minutes wait, the horse racing finished, she turns and asks me what I wanted. Flabbergasted was an unstatement, and I never walked out God only knows why, Shocking shocking service.

The Masons Arms

Masons Arms/Castle Hill, Worcester WR6 6YA, UK – 01886 889064

Good country pub and eatery between Worcester and Martley. Visited on a Thursday night. Good vibe . Nice food and they have a gluten free menu. Customer service helpful and friendly. Beer good. Not a huge selection but what was available was well kept. Garden outside and could take young people. Nice views. Parking and suitable for people with mobility difficulties. Little pockets of privacy in the various dining areas.

Always good food and atmosphere just right. A lovely local pub.

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

Bed & Breakfast Accommodation plus Guesthouses

The Chandlery

Worcester Rd, Worcester WR6 6QA, UK – 01886 888318

Great base to stay to explore Worcester. We stayed one night to visit the Xmas Market. John the owner made us very welcome from the moment we arrived with tea & coffee. The lounge was warm and cosy from coming in from the cold December evening, and the bedrooms were of a high standard. The breakfast was good with cereals and full English on the menu. Parking for 4 cars is available to the side of the acommodation. Highly recommended for a short stay near Worcester Centre.

Stayed in the Suite and it was fabulous - location of the Guesthouse was fine but parking a little tight - would stay again and highly recommend - breakfast tasted great and the host was friendly and accomodating

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
